==
@INDUSTRYUNLOCKED – Well INDUSTRY UNLOCKED started when i moved to ATL my people wanted to get into the magazine business so that’s what it started as =but they ran into alot of BS and started to let the name die but i always thought it was a ground breakin’ name and could possibly make it in any industry. ==
@INDUSTRYUNLOCKED – Well as a artist I learned a hell of a lot about the music industry. I really had my feet in it, not like most of these Executives today that have never been in the streets. ==

==
@MECCAGLOBAL – What advice can you give artist in general about their music before they put it out there to the consumers?

@MeccaGloBal Peace & Blessings Let the people know how everybody connected, the different groups and how everything  manifested under that umbrella.

photo 1

Tek:  The boot camp clik  consists of: BlackMoon,OGC, HeltahSkeltah & yours truly SMIF&WESSUN . Toppdog of OGC & my PNC Steele are brothers through blood but we all are brothers.

Steele: I Grew up in Brownsville Brooklyn Sethlow Projects. Rock,Louieville and Dj Logic also lived in Sethlow. Sean P lived up the block, Strang lived around the corner, I met Tek in Printing High School and I met Buckshot through his sister that I went to night school with. It pretty much unfolded the way Roc explains it on operation lockdown. Buck got signed then we came in and we brought Heltah Skeltah and they brought OGC. We each cultivated eachother at places like the doghillee, the house of reps, or the camp.

 @MeccaGloBal How do you feel as a black man watching what’s going on in our society right now across the board.

photo 4

Tek: It’s painful to see & hear  ignorance & fear to not form  together & do something about it, well at least try to.

Steele: As a Blackman I have many concerns but I am a father and my 1st concern is the safety and freedom of my sons. In reference to what has been going on with the police, I work to keep my sons informed on how to carry themselves in what I like to call the wilderness of North America. It’s a Jungle out here so we have to be prepared for anything. Then on a flipside there are many opportunities out here. If you apply yourself Know that as a Blackman the chips are stacked against us from the gate but that is no excuse to accept failure. What doesn’t kill us only makes us stronger.

@MeccaGloBal  What advice can you tell our youth particularly our young men  just in general regarding staying focused becoming a productive citizen and not following the crowds getting into trouble.

photo 3

Tek: Everything isn’t for everybody. Find yourself & GOD. Believe & invest in yourself.

Steele: Definitely what Tek said,  in addition you need to love yourself because you are a valuable asset to your family. Be creative be bold and assertive in the face of adversity. Don’t be discouraged by people or negative energy. Anything great takes time. Find your passion and fly.

 @MeccaGloBal  What’s the difference in our Hip Hop Culture here in the states vs. how they receive our music overseas.

Tek:  I think the difference is mostly or mainly they receive the music later than we do & they don’t really get it in a abundance like we do. But for the most part the LUV us there!

Steele: I agree with Tek. I also think that there is a desire to learn about the culture especially when you didn’t necessarily grow up in it. New York is the MECCA where it all started. I believe people overseas actually study the pioneers so they appreciate the culture as a whole. On the other hand on this side of the water it may be due to the necessity and or the desire to make money– that kind of desensitized many of us in regards to the culture. We live what we rap about for the most part so being of the culture you see it from the inside out so sometimes you don’t get to appreciate  it’s beauty within the ugliness.

@MeccaGloBal  What do you like better recording in the studio or performing in front of a live crowd and why ?

Tek: I LUV them both equally, because the creating process plays a major part in what you put forth  out there in the world and on stage. The studio is your  sanctuary  & blank canvas where u can kneel & pray & paint all-night if you feel. The stage is where u get 2 unveil  your masterpiece & your leaving the supporters with a piece of you to take home & cherish and remember look back on and play over and over again getting all warm and  special feelings inside, taking them back to that special moment  or wherever it be for them.

Steele: The process is amazing to say the least. You have to earn that right to get on that mic in the booth and onstage. You can only hope to make something great enough to make it to that stage. If you are able to do that then the stage becomes your reward for making it to the next level. Then if the people receive you then you become elevated. It’s a natural high.

 @MeccaGloBal What’s your most memorable moments in Hip Hop, and what’s missing in Hip Hop?

Tek:  My most memorable moments in HIPHOP is 2 numerous 2 mention, but the 1 that stands out right now is US SMIF&WESSUN reaching our 20th yr anniversary doing what  we love & the thing I see that’s  missing in HIPHOP is Unity & Loyalty.

Steele: One of the most memorable moments was working with Tupac and staying with him for a few days out in Cali. That was a spiritual experience. Another moment was being in the studio with the angel Aaliyah that was just insane. She  was truly a beautiful person. I felt we were blessed to be in the presence of these people.

@MeccaGloBal What producers & Artist would like you to work  with?

Tek : ALL OF THE DOPE ONES

Steele: That’s a long list. I’m something like a weirdo so I love to be creative. There are so many talented people out here doing some really cool and innovative stuff. Shit Kanye just did a song with Paul McCartney that’s insane. There is no limit to creativity.

 @MeccaGloBal  Let your fans & supporters know what you are working on, what should they be on the lookout for? Give your fans all of your social media contacts so they can stay up to date.

images-2

Tek :  S&W & BCC project! This past year we dropped an EP titled BORN&RAISED an all HIPHOP/Jamaican entirely produced by BEATNICK & KSALAAM.  I don’t fuck wit FB AT ALL! I know  it’s one out there but it’s a fan page I have  nothing 2 do with it at all i go nowhere near it! U can  only catch me on social media out here in these streets or at our shows or on both twitter & IG @teksmokeelah Shout out to the beard gang  Shout out to you MeccaGloBal for the interview. Salaams.

[ #SBMGBLOG INTERVIEW ] WITH @DJBEDTYME357 BY @MECCAGLOBAL

===========

===========

===========

I  only have a few Great  genuine people in this business who i consider family. Maybe a good solid 80 people out of a Million.  One of my favorite people in this Business Mr 2 Official for the BS!  Mr no strings attached! Remy Ma’s Official DJ!  MR DJ BEDTYME 357

bed1

@MECCAGLOBAL- You are the Memphis Bleek of Loyalty to Remy Ma That’s a compliment it’s a wonderful thing to have loyal people in your corner. Give some tips to these other teams, and  people  in general on the importance of staying down through the good and the bad. – How does it feel to see THE QUEEN OF NY at the top of her game, new music, marriage, VH1 Love and HipHop back like she never left! [ *Note* My new favorite Summer 2016 Anthem [ I’M ALL THE WAY UP ] Fat Joe Remy Ma and French Montana ]

===

===

===

@DJBEDTYME 357- You have to know your role in the whole scheme of things and be willing to play your part. Most accept it for what its worth, but start to feel they are bigger than the main picture. Nothing wrong with wanting more for yourself, but most attempt to tear down those closest to them, in order to achieve that wanted success. Fortunately, I’ve always been DJBEDTYME357 and had a certain level of respect & relevance in the music industry before working for Remy Ma, but once that happened, it was a great bonus to the existent reputation. Its incredible just having her back in the free world, everything else is just added blessings.

===

===

===

@MECCAGLOBAL- You have broken a lot of these new  artist music that   i hear today i’m glad to know you were a huge part of some of their starts. How has the love been in return in respect to some of these same artist once they reached a certain level?

===

===

===

@DJBEDTYME 357- For the most part, the continued respect is there and that’s all I’ve anticipated from day one.

===

===

===

@MECCAGLOBAL- Explain to the people the workout videos i see  you bed, you working out, toned up on your instagram. – Give out some tips, or helpful advice for others.

===

===

===

@DJBEDTYME357- Oddly enough, those videos are just testaments to me actually working out and not just talking about it or taking photos in workout gear. I’ve been working with a trainer for some time now, to make sure I have that extra push which is often needed. The best advice I could ever offer, is to stay consistent with not just the working out, but eating properly as well.

===

===

===

@MECCAGLOBAL- Let the people know what you been up too lately.

===

===

===

@DJBEDTYME357- For the most part I’ve been out here enjoying the regular aspect of life and all the blessings. Quite often we continue to work hard and don’t take the necessary time to enjoy it.

===

===

===

@MECCAGLOBAL- How does it feel to see Rem & Pap enjoying what’s been due to BOTH of them for a minute, long time coming?

===

===

===

@DJBEDTYME357- At times I can’t put it into words because I was there literally, with the both of them during the 6 1/2 years, so it’s still taking some getting used to.
===
===
===
@MECCAGLOBAL- Tell the people how they can be involved in the faces in the crowd showcases you been a part of for a long now? – I see the next one coming up Tuesday  March 22nd 2016.
===
===
===
@DJBEDTYME357- The easiest and most effective way is come out to an actual show. We hold the showcase once every 4th Tuesday of the month inside SOBs in NYC and if by chance you can’t make it, simply shoot an email to chalant@facesshowcase.com
===
===
===
@MECCAGLOBAL- How important is it for us to have these type of showcases to platform up and coming artist and to be a part of their career from the start.
===
===
===
@DJBEDTYME357- These showcases serve as a sneak preview of new talent before it becomes mainstream, so the significance is extremely important. Most times the credibility of certain showcases places a blemish upon it, that doesn’t allow the participants to further benefit as they should.
===
===
===
@MECCAGLOBAL- How do you feel when people think you owe them something a part of your success so to speak but didn’t lift one finger to help?
===
===
===
@DJBEDTYME357- Over the years I’ve learn to not allow the negativity to become contagious. Someone will always feel deserving of more, but if you don’t entertain it, there is nothing to feel.
===
===
===
@MECCAGLOBAL- Let the people know how Lexx 9 Eleven doing, and whats going on with The Real ATM ?
===
===
===
@DJBEDTYME357- Lexx is maintaining and doing the best with the situation handed to him and The Real ATM for the most part have grown into legitimate businesses.
===
===
===
@MECCAGLOBAL- What are some tips you can give to these upcoming / Unsigned Independent artist?
===
===
===
@DJBEDTYME357- Invest in yourself and don’t anticipate handouts, that way you don’t owe anyone anything.
===
===
===
@MECCAGLOBAL- What’s in store coming up for you DJBEDTYME357?
===
===
===
@DJBEDTYME357- Only God knows that answer, but I will do my best to continue following the path he has layed for me and enjoy every moment of it.
===
===
===
@MECCAGLOBAL Give the people  your social media contacts so the people can get in touch with you.
===
===
===
@DJBEDTYME357- Everything is @DJBEDTYME357 on all social media (snapchat, twitter, facebook, instagram & periscope) and like usual…..”I hope ya’ll have a comfortable seat and a clear view, wear a smile with me”

[ #SBMGBLOG INTERVIEW ] WITH @SETHFERRANTI BY @MECCAGLOBAL

IMG_5496

@MECCAGLOBAL – FOR THE PEOPLE WHO’S NOT IN TUNED TO YOUR WORK, AND  WHO YOU ARE, LET  ‘EM KNOW, AND WHERE ARE  YOU ORIGINALLY FROM.

===

@SETHFERRANTI  My name is Seth Ferranti. I was born and raised in Cali and I got a case in the early 90s for supplying 15 colleges in five states with LSD and marijuana. I was sentenced to 25 years when I was 22 years old and I completed 21 calendars in federal prison where I started writing for publication. I formed my own publishing house, Gorilla Convict, from the cell block and started cranking out gangster and prison books.

===

===

===

IMG_0607

@MECCAGLOBAL HOW DOES IT FEEL FROM  BEING ON THE US MARSHALLS TOP 15 MOST WANTED LIST – SENTENCED TO 25 YEARS IN FEDERAL PRISON-  TO NOW TRANSITIONING BUILDING A SUCCESSFUL WRITING CAREER?

@SETHFERRANTI I didn’t even know I was on the most wanted list. I found out when I got caught. That was pretty crazy but in prison it was like an accolade. I got a lot of notoriety for that. I had my wanted poster and everything. I used to autograph it for dudes in there. It has been a long journey but I have walked it down. I did my time like a man and now I am in the real world applying my trade as a writer and getting into comics and film. I worked hard to be where I am today. I got out in January 2015 and I hit the ground running. I always tell people that I have only accomplished ten percent of what I want to accomplish. I have a relentless drive to succeed and bring my talents and ideas to the world.

===

===

===

@MECCAGLOBAL HOW DID YOU TURN YOUR SITUATION FROM NEGATIVE TO A POSITIVE SITUATION AND WHAT DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHARGES IF YOU CARE TO SPEAK ON YOUR PAST ?

@SETHFERRANTI I had ambition as a young man but it was just misguided. I wanted to be the biggest drug dealer I could be. I was a rebel without a cause who thought his cause was to be a drug dealer. I followed the Grateful Dead and I sold drugs at colleges and I thought I could do that forever. My first serious goal in life was to become a cash millionaire by the time I was 21. I didn’t make it I got busted when I was 19. I have always been a firm believer that you can do whatever you want to do if you put your mind to it. I never dwelled on the negative I just got on with life, even from behind the fence.

3

@MECCAGLOBAL WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO YOU TO  HAVE YOUR WORK PUBLISHED?

@SETHFERRANTI I lived for that in prison. That was my connection to the outside world. How I got my recognition and self worth. It was like even though I am doing all this time in prison I can get my ideas out to the world and express myself. It was such a buzz for me. It helped me to dig myself out of the pit that I’d buried myself in. It made me feel like I was worth something. Now its just a paycheck but I still love what I do. I still want to write but  in comics and film. I am making the transition. Not all the way there yet but I will be.

@MECCAGLOBAL GROWING  UP AS A YOUTH,  WHO OR WHAT  WERE YOUR INFLUENCES  THAT SPARKED SOMETHING IN YOU EITHER IN THE STREETS OR FROM  PRISON GOOD OR BAD  THAT LEAD YOU RIGHT HERE TODAY?

@SETHFERRANTI I was a real big fan of Henry Rollins and Jim Morrison. I was punk rock and rock-n-roll. I was a fan of John Gotti. I loved the romanticism of the outlaw. There were some dudes on the dead tour that I wanted to be. They were the biggest drug dealers with the most money and the best drugs. That is what I wanted. I was like a rock star but it was all on my own terms. I met some individuals that helped me a lot in prison too. Dedicated guys that formed a new life in prison and re-invented themselves so to speak. That is what I did. Instead of being a drug kingpin I could write about them.

IMG_0609

@MECCAGLOBAL WHAT WAS YOUR TURNING POINT THAT LEAD YOU TO WRITING?st

@SETHFERRANTI I played in bands and wrote poetry so I was always a writer in a way. I got a job in the rec department helping with the intramural sports leagues in prison. We were making schedules and doing stats and standings in a news letter. I started adding little commentaries about the leagues and players and games and dudes in the prison loved it. I wrote about the b-ball, softball, football and soccer leagues. They even translated my news letters into Spanish. That is where it all started.

@MECCAGLOBAL WHERE CAN PEOPLE CHECK OUT YOUR  WORK – WHAT PUBLICATIONS HAVE YOU WRITTEN FOR?

@SETHFERRANTI I write for a ton of places- VICE, Don Diva, F.E.D.S., Huffington Post, Medium, The Fix, Dazed, Transgression, Real Crime, The Influence, Vocativ- the list goes on. Websites and magazines. I also have a blog at gorillaconvict.com and TheGri1nd.com which can all be accessed through my site Sethferranti.com

5sf

@MECCAGLOBAL WHAT PROJECTS  ARE YOU WORKING ON NOW,  WHAT CAN THEY EXPECT?

@SETHFERRANTI I got a ton of stuff in the works- a White Boy Rick documentary, a Supreme Team comic and motion cartoon, a series of short films, a graphic novel based on my case. I have been busy the last year since I’ve been out and a lot of stuff will be dropping this year. All the teasers and trailers will be on my website, Sethferranti.com. You can order all my stuff there- comics, books, videos- whatever you want. I got a youtube channel under my name to and I’m constantly adding stuff to it. Like I said I got a ton of stuff in the works and its all going to hit this year.

IMG_5694

@MECCAGLOBAL WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE IN THE SYSTEM AS YOU SEE IT NOW TODAY VS IN THE CRACK ERA- WHAT DO YOU SEE DIFFERENT GOING ON TODAY  WITH EVERYTHING.

@SETHFERRANTI The crack era was like prohibition was for the Italians- except the blacks and hispanic came up. I met some big drug dealers in the feds. Today you just don’t have the same type of legends. With social media and the way the world is now its different. The local legends don’t seem to get as big. But the feds are still casing people up. So don’t get it twisted. But the legends of the crack era will not be replicated.

@MECCAGLOBAL WHAT ADVICE CAN YOU GIVE INMATES BEHIND THAT WALL WHO ARE TALENTED WHO ARE CREATIVE WHAT CAN YOU PASS ON TO THEM

@SETHFERRANTI Just keep honing your craft. Look for avenues to get your work out there. Believe in yourself and be passionate. Don’t get pulled into all the prison bs. Make your own way. Be relentless and always execute your idea and complete your projects.
