In Mecca Global’s Words
Written By DAVID RABADI
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Every 10 years a person comes along out of nowhere making an impact in the industry quietly blowing up right in front of our eyes making a name for themselves, making people ask the question: Who is this person I keep hearing about? It was only a matter of time before the world was introduced to Mecca Global. A very humble, hardworking, determined African American young lady doing her thing. She is without a doubt, multitasking a million and one jobs who by the way: “Does NOT know the meaning of the word CAN’T”! In her own words. This upcoming entreprenuer is making her mark rising to the top quietly moving from behind the scenes making her way to the fore-front raising the bar, setting a new standard re-writing the meaning of determination! Let’s see what’s going on in MISS MECCA GLOBAL’S world
EXCLUSIVE UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL RARE INTERVIEW WITH THE ONE AND ONLY MULTI-TALENTED,UPCOMING, MOVER & SHAKER MECCA GLOBAL.
DAVID: (Rock Star) First of all Miss missssy, msssssy Hello Miss Mecca Global, how are you?
MECCA GLOBAL: Hey Rockstar, I’m blessed, no complaints (Mecca Leans in to kiss David on the cheeks Hollywood style both cheeks blowing kisses in the air) They both laugh while hugging each other tight.
DAVID: You smell good, what are you wearing?
MECCA GLOBAL: Chance
DAVID: Nice. CHANEL Bitches for those that don’t know. Let’s get right into it. First of all, thanks for the Autographed copy of your book. Heat Code of the Streets. Thank you for taking the time out of your Hectic Schedule. You are a Self Published Author. Turning your book series into a movie. Which by the way, I want to audition for one of the roles. Don’t act funny, I will call Perez Hilton and say she’s forgetting where she’s coming from Blow Mecca spot up! (David Laughs) Ha-Ha. You ‘re an Author, Music Reviewer/ Hip Hop Journalist/Writer for a Hip Hop music magazine. The Founder of one of the fastest growing online Hip Hop web blogs. SBakerMediaGroup.com . You have a son. You run a Publishing Company. You write Music. When do you have time to sleep Girl????
MECCA GLOBAL: Oh Hell no, (Mecca laughs) Ha-ha You crazy, first of all no Rockstar did not just turn into Spencer from the Hills! You said “you’re going to call Perez Hilton” (Mecca Laughs) Ha-Ha. Anyway, yes you can audition for one of the roles. I will keep everyone posted when my casting calls start back up this summer 09. I’m auditioning regular people, SAG members, Rappers, Singers, whoever can bring the characters in my book Alive: Unique, Heat, Ebony, Samad, and Moe alive. Open Casting call. And to answer your questions, I don’t sleep. I said this a million times before, this is why I wear shades over my pretty brown eyes.(Mecca Laughs) Ha-Ha
DAVID: 3 part Question, Tell me about the characters in the book? Who was you favorite character in the book and why? How would you describe your book, what would you compare it too?
MECCA GLOBAL : Heat is the main character, she’s very loyal holding her man down. Unique is the baby out of the crew, she’s very gullible, and naïve. Ebony is the wildcard out the bunch. Samad is Heat’s Man he’s a Mobb Boss in the streets. Moe is Samad’s enemy for years, He’s as powerful as Samad, he’s another Mobb Boss who by the way Samad is threatened by. All of the characters are my favorite in the book. I would describe my book series to The Sopranos, or the HBO hit series The Wire, or a Scarface movie in print. That’s exactly what I would compare it to. When I wrote this book, I wrote it with the intentions of it to one day be on the silver screen, or TV, Straight to DVD or something. I’m a very visual person, because I already see what type of personalities can play the roles for certain parts… That’s how I am, I put something in place and work towards it. I see it already in my mind, the end results. I’m a big dreamer, so I see light years ahead of where I am right now, where I’m going to be, and how I want it. That’s why I’m putting in the necessary work now today.
DAVID: Mecca girl your book is a page turner, and I read it the weekend you gave it to me from that Friday to Monday when I saw you back at work. A very good read, if I do say so myself. I’m not really into urban fiction books like that. I’m hooked now! This is a 3 part book series, when is part 2 & 3 coming out? I can’t wait to see what happens next!
MECCA GLOBAL: Soon. I don’t want to go over anyone’s head. I want them right on my level, walking with me. When the entire world get’s a better idea of who MECCA GLOBAL is, and everybody in the world read part 1, so they can all be on my level, moving with me by the time part 2 & 3 comes out. They won’t be left out of the loop. (Mecca Laughs) Ha-Ha
DAVID: This Book originally came out in 2004, you put out a Limited Edition right?
MECCA GLOBAL: Yes, long story short, when I first wrote this book part 1, this was just a result of when my record deal fell through. I didn’t pursue that situation 100 percent, so this was like a chain reaction from me writing stories in my notebook, and I noticed /rather zeroed in on my writing when I realized I had 1 novel in me. After I wrote my first novel in 2 months, I realized I have a few more novels in me. This was theraputic to me, writing, a release . The first book opened me up more to my writing side, like my ruffdraft/demo so i pretty much defaulted into, Author Status, NO where on the radar was being an Author in my plans. I only printed up a few books for the family and friends then it spread to their coworkers at work, spread to people in my hood. Spread to my emails on my myspace page, people requesting to buy my book, to me selling the books out of my trunk with the help of my family and close friends helping me sell my books by spreading the word for me word of mouth. As my demand started growing little by little, I knew I had something when I started seeing the orders come in I was like oh ok: “ I got something here” (Mecca Laughs) Ha-Ha Actually, my entire family plays a part under the S.BAKER BRAND. They help me run everything, which in turn, allows me to continue networking, and work outside with other teams. I like being an Independent contractor, It allows me to move around freely how i want too and work with whoever I want too. I actually go to the office (Work) everyday Monday through Friday as you know, I actually get up out of my bed, putting a hard days work, working for someone else (Drahma magazine office, as a staff writer.) which in turn I reinvest right back into my own company. Shout to my Drahma Family over there at the magazine…. Big,Big SHout out to my entire Team Baker holding the S.Baker Brand down online, meetings, Phone calls whatever. It’s a team effort. I don’t do this by myself. My son is actually a big help as well. Rockstar watch out for Shaquan Baker. You will see him in the limelight somewhere, behind the scenes Directing, or in front of the cameras acting, in the spotlight somewhere, musically or somewhere. You got some competition, he’s a Rockstar, Rockstar!
DAVID: Oh I AM THEE STAR! (David Laughs) Ha-Ha He better watch out for me! Tell your son Shaquan Baker I said hello, and congratulations on his acceptance in – College University. Tell him to keep his attention focused on his school work! NOT ON THOSE FAST ASS GIRLS! HE IS A HANDSOME YOUNG MAN, THE GIRLS ARE GOING TO BE CHASING AFTER HIM!
MECCA GLOBAL: Going to be (Mecca Laughs) Ha-Ha They calling my cell, I’m like WTF?! How they get my number? Nowadays you can get anybody number you want!
DAVID: Is it true your book was rejected by, hold on let me count(David reads from his notes) IS IT TRUE YOUR BOOK WAS REJECTED FROM 20 PUBLISHING COMPANIES? WHY WAS IT IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO LET THE WORLD KNOW THAT YES YOUR BOOK WAS REJECTED, AND IN OUR PRELIMINARY INTERVIEW YOU WANTED ME TO MAKE SURE I POINTED THIS OUT? AND ALSO EXPLAIN TO THE PEOPLE HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO NEVER LET SOMEONE ‘S OPINION ABOUT WHATEVER YOU’RE DOING BE THE DETERMINING FACTOR WHEN IT COMES TO A PERSON FOLLOWING, OR PURSUING THEIR DREAMS?
MECCA GLOBAL: Yes my book was rejected, and I wanted you to point that out mainly so when my little nieces and nephews read this, or whoever read’s this, Who think i just skated through position after position smooth sailing, to see, rejection happens to any, and everyone. You need to have tough skin in this business, in ANY business! If you get easily offended, or your feelings are hurt easily because of what someone else said, or someone else’s opinion about you, then you’re in the wrong business. I AM SO GLAD I CAN HANDLE CERTAIN THINGS, BECAUSE HAD I NOT BEEN AS STRONG AS I AM, I THINK I WOULD HAVE CRACKED BY NOW! What I have to say to someone who perhaps is not as mentally strong to endure certain things, make sure you know exactly who you are first and foremost, be confident, and comfortable with feedback, and use it to perfect what it is you need to do. Be strong, and don’t allow another person’s opinion about something THAT YOU ARE DOING interfere with your process. In the same breath, be smart enough to listen and pay attention to what’s being said in a negative way about any project that you are doing, this is across the board whatever field you’re in turn it around and use it to your advantage for your good, making minor adjustments to make your situation better. But don’t be stubborn, or stupid into thinking: OH NO I’M NOT GOING TO LISTEN TO ANOTHER PERSON’S OPINION, OR PERSPECTIVE ABOUT SOMETHING YOU ARE DOING. Be open minded enough to listen to other people’s advice. The key word is Listen. DONT LET THEIR ANSWER BE THE END ALL BE ALL THOUGH. KEEP GOING BECAUSE OUT OF 100 YOU WILL WIN OVER 50, JUST KEEP WORKING AND DOING WHAT YOU DO. EVENTUALLY THE OTHER 50 WILL COME AROUND ONCE YOU GET THE ENTIRE WORLD IN YOUR CORNER!
DAVID: You have such an interesting background and story, a well-rounded personality, I would have never thought you were a rapper either. You also worked on a radio station in New Jersey. I can definitely see you in radio, you have one of those radio personalities, what was that like??
MECCA GLOBAL: Shout out to DJ ANTOINE QUA, he actually opened the door for me on his radio show. That was not my radio show. I did the celebrity, entertainment report: (MECCA’S STREETZ REPORT) on DJ ANTOINE QUA’S Afternoon Commercial Radio show in my Hometown (Brick City) NEWARK NEW JERSEY / JERSEY STAND UP. I enjoyed it, somehow I always stumble right back into what I love to do: Writing & Something relating to Music. I keep saying this over, and over, and over again, I am truly blessed to actually be doing what I love to do.
DAVID: Let’s shift gears for a moment, Is it true you’re dating___? Or are you single?
MECCA GLOBAL: No, I’m not dating him…..erase that part on the tape, don’t put his name in this interview when you transcribe this into print, leave it blank. I’m single.
DAVID: Well, miss lady, since you are my friend, and I know what type of guys you like, and I know how special of a person you are, I will play match maker for you, (David Laughs) Ha-Ha we need to have one of those reality shows where I audition the guys to date Mecca Global, they need to get my approval first!. All races! 2 part Question, What type of guys do you like Mecca? Did you ever date outside your race?
MECCA GLOBAL: (Mecca takes a deep breath Let’s a long sigh out smiling and blushing) I like a hardworking strong, private confident man. Because I am a very strong, hardworking independent ambitious woman. I prefer my guy to be strong in his spot, and not try to play the little games, just hold me down that’s all I ask. I don’t really have the time or the energy to play the little games. I need him to just do whatever it is he does in life trying to own one half of the world, because i’m trying to own the other side of the world like monopoly. My main concern is he needs to have his own life, and be secure in his spot, not jealous, mainly not insecure of other men around me,especially if it’s a work situation. I’m in a high profile position where i’m going to be around certain type of people. I like a Boss, meaning the boss of your life. in control of everything.. He has to be strong Mentally. Just strong, I might just have a bad day, and just wanna come home and cry in his arms for 5 minutes, just to get that off my chest and then after that of course we can go relieve some stress another way in the bedroom (Mecca laughs) Ha-Ha No, but seriously. I CAN’T be stronger than the man in my relationship ever, I won’t ever respect him as a man. My main thing is, my dude needs to be strong, emotionally, and mentally, not afraid to talk about issues with me, and, not afraid to let me in,or allow me to help him I mean just by giving him advice or anything I mean just be there for him. A lot of men let their pride push a woman away, instead of talking a few things out. without going in to detail. Because a guy can be too strong, and tough and won’t come to a woman to talk to their girl, or wifey, like we women don’t understand what men go through out here? I mean. I ‘m not trying to be your therapist (Mecca Laughs) Ha-Ha but I like talking working out problems, i like knowing what’s going on in your life. Making sure my guy is ok, checking in on him from time to time, making sure he’s on his job and not bullshitting with losersss that don’t have nothing going on with their lives. Men don’t realize what they do effect us both when you’re in a relationship. It’s just too much work right now. I don’t have the time. I’m a very private person when it comes to my personal life. every guy is not worthy to touch me and I say that in the most humblest way, so if I ‘m willing to share a part of me with you, please be worthy of that!. That’s all I’m going to say Rockstar, and I’m going to leave it right there. And to answer your 2nd part of your question, do I date outside of my race, I have in the past, no wait, hold up, Puerto Rican’ s are considered black in the hood (Mecca Laughs) Ha-Ha So if you consider Boricua outside of my race (Mecca laughs) then yes, but I never dated a white guy, if that’s what you’re asking? I don’t think a white guy could handle me Babes (Mecca Laughs) maybe I need to try something new! (Mecca Laughs) You know what they say, once you go black……… (Mecca Laughs) Ha-Ha
DAVID: I Don’t believe you’re single.
MECCA GLOBAL: I’m only going to say this one time, I don’t like repeating myself make sure when you transcribe this part, put this in bold, in all caps! (Mecca Laughs) Ha-Ha
I AM CURRENTLY SINGLE ROCKSTAR. I RECENTLY STOP DEALING WITH A GUY THAT WAS INMY LIFE FOR A FEW REASON S THAT I WONT GO INTO BUT ME ANDHIM TRIED TO MAKE IT WORK FOR A MINUTE OBVIOUSLY WE BOTH DID NOT TRY HARD ENOUGH BECAUSE IT TAKES TWO PEOPLE TO MAKE IT WORK, NOT A ONE SIDED RELATIONSHIP WHERE ONE PERSON IS PUTTING IN ALL THE WORK. WE SAW THAT IT WASN’T IN OUR BEST INTEREST RIGHT NOW BECAUSE WE ARE BOTH BUSY DOING OUR THING AND I KNOW HE UNDERSTANDS WE BOTH NOT READY TO COMMIT. I THINK A RELATIONSHIP TAKES TIME, AND I DIDN’T HAVE THE TIME AND HE DIDN’T HAVE THE TIME EITHER AND AT SOME POINT YOU MOST DEFINITELY NEED TO MAKE TIME FOR THE PERSON YOU LOVE IN YOUR LIFE. I UNDERSTAND THAT FULLY I DONT HAVE THE TIME TO COMMIT TO A REAL RELATIONSHIP RIGHT NOW SO, NO I’M NOT SEEING ANYONE. IM FOCUSSING ON MY WRITING RIGHT NOW. I MEAN IF IT HAPPENS, IT HAPPENS I WOULD LOVE TO BE IN LOVE WITH THE RIGHT GUY THAT’S WORTHY OF MY TIME. BUT RIGHT NOW I’M NOT LOOKING FOR ANYTHING. THAT’S SAD BECAUSE YOU SUPPOSED TO PUT YOUR HAPPYYYY-NESS/ IN ORDER FIRST…… THAT’S LIKE THE LAST THING THATS ON MY MIND RIGHT NOW..SAD BUT ITS TRUE! I’M A WORKAHOLIC ESPECIALLY NOW THAT MY SON JUST WENT AWAY TO COLLEGE AS A FRESHMAN, EVERYBODY THAT KNOWS ME, KNOWS I PUT MY LIFE ON HOLD FOR A MINUTE IN SLOW MO STILL WORKING BEHIND THE SCENES DOING MY THING , BUT BASICALLY PUTTING MY ALL INTO RAISING MY SON SHAQUAN BAKER /GROOMING HIM TO BECOME A RESPONSIBLE YOUNG MAN. WHEN DEALING WITH ME, YOU NEED TO BE A CERTAIN TYPE OF MAN TO DEAL WITH ME. GROOMED A CERTAIN WAY. I’M NOT YOUR AVERAGE..SORRY..I NEED TO START SCREENING THESE GUYS A LITTLE BETTER! YEAH MAYBE WE DO NEED TO GET ONE OF THOSE REALITY SHOWS, EVERYBODY ELSE GOT ONE WHY NOT. BUT I WOULDN’T WANT TO GO ON AS A CONTESTANT,KNOWING ME, NEEDING TO KNOW EVERYTHING GOING ON BEHIND THE SCENES, AND HOW PICKY I AM, IT WOULD HAVE TO BE MY OWN SHOW, WHERE I GET TO SELECT, AND PICK AND CHOOSE WHAT TYPE OF GUY WOULD WIN, AFTER I PUT THEM THROUGH A FEW OF MY TEST! TO SEE IF THEY ARE TRULY OFFICIAL.. (Mecca Laughs) Ha-Ha
DAVID: You talking about I’m a mess, Mecca you are a MESS!~ but you crazy and I love your kind of crazy because it’s harmless. I love your bubbly personality when you show this side of you. I notice you are such a serious person in business at times, but when you let your guard down, and laugh more, I think that’s the real you, when you allow to let people in. Mecca you are such a humble person, it seems as if you don’t ever let anything get to you. How do you do it?
MECCA GLOBAL: Thanks, oh trust me, things get to me. A lot of people don’t see the behind the scenes back story of my life. Oh things get too me alright!
DAVID: No, I meant, you don’t let things get to you, meaning nothing goes to your head. You’re an Author. You write for a Music Magazine. You have a bunch of other titles, working behind the scenes on a lot of things coming up, you got a lot going on, but one would never know unless they were talking to you up close and personal, and you told them everything you do. You just seem like a regular down to earth person that did not let success go to your head
MECCA GLOBAL: I’m Blessed and thankful I don’t think I’m successful yet in my eyes yet, on the level that I’m striving for. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate, and I’m grateful, I didn’t reach my peak yet. The reason is simple Rockstar, I know where I came from, NOTHING! And I keep that hunger in the forefront of my mind, the difference between me and another person is: What I’m doing is fun to me, i look at me as a self published Author and me writing for a Hip Hop music magazine, writing my little hooks, and songs WRITING PERIOD is just doing what I love to do. I don’t look at it as if, oh I’m such bigger than the next person don’t get me wrong I am truly grateful of the things and the position I am working hard to get myself into, this is going to sound a little arrogant, or cocky to some people, but, when you have a higher power in your life on your side fighting your battles for you, opening doors for you, leading you in the direction of the right people or, even the wrong people opening doors for me, everything I touch WILL prosper. Regardless of what people think they know about me, or think they know what type of person I am, I’m FLAWED/IMPERFECT just like the next person. I have a special relationship with my higher power. I have UNSHAKE—-ABLE FAITH. AND MY PRAYERS GET ANSWERED, AS SOON AS I OPEN MY MOUTH AND PRAY TO MY HIGHER POWER, BELIEVE IT OR NOT. I say that with no disrespect, no arrogance attached to that statement, no cockyyyy-ness, from the bottom of my heart regardless of what you think you know about me. Who I pray too, knows me better. Either way I embrace every change that comes my way, and flip it in my best interest. I don’t consider myself famous/or successful until I can retire my mom which by the way I think she got about 2 more years before she retire, so until I can do certain things for my entire family, I don’t consider myself successful, or in the position that I need to be in. All I can really do is walk the path that’s already laid out in front of me, and it’s funny because for a long time I was chasing something that was NOT there or rather what I thought was there chasing a fantasy dream as opposed to really digging down inside of me and seeing “WHAT IT IS I’M GOOD AT, and finding out a way to make money off of what god blessed me with which is WRITING not to get all preachy on you but I’m blessed, and I’m humbled because of the way my family grew up. We wasn’t one of those rich families…… My upbringing I give credit to my entire family, because regardless if we didn’t have much money, we were all raised to work for what we want, get up, go out, and get it. Also, we had family always around we could go next door borrow food, borrow something from my aunt, or my cousins, and vice versa, even the neighbors, or going to the corner store getting credit, I REMEMBER ALL OF THAT! I just remember always seeing my mom work, so the way Emma Baker raised me, I don’t know anything else but to work hard towards anything I want. I definitely value certain things that comes my way and I value it that much more because I worked hard for what I have now today. Nobody GAVE me anything, which means nobody can TAKE anything away from me because my hard work, my blood, my sweat, and my tears from me waking up everyday by the grace, out of my bed busting my ass because we all know the glory is really our higher powers not mine. Not to get all preachy on you but everyday I wake up my mind automatically SHIFTS into Grind/Business mode, of course after I say my daily morning prayer blessing all of my family/friends/asking him to guide my day help me in my decision making this day in front of me I mean it gets deep. People just see the outside and don’t know what’s going on inside. I literally have a deep connection with my higher power not to say I’m an angel mother Theresa or anything but he protects his children regardless of what you’re going through whatever the case may be, he sees my heart and what I’m trying to do so it’s his hand that’s leading me and guiding me, not nobody else so I don’t feel a certain way, or act bigger than I am. Because I’m finally realizing that I AM supposed to be so much more than what I have been looking back if you can understand that I’m just gonna stop right there ROCKSTAR because I will talk/ talk /and talk until your tape runs out! (Mecca Laughs) Ha-Ha and sooner or later we both will be in here crying that’s my most rarest and most vulnerable when I’m really examining my life, talking to my higher power about myself because I know deep down inside that’s where all of my blessings are coming from..My higher power.… I’m just now figuring out a few things out, finally putting in the leg work that he he had in place for me already…
DAVID: Well dannnnnggg girl you got all OPRAH on me MEC! (David Laughs) Ha-Ha, see this is what I love about you, because at a glance, I would have you pegged one way, other than who you really are underneath. This is why I NEVER judge people, or my perception of who I think a person is. Anyway OPRAH, which by the way this leads me right into what I was going to say next. You have such a presence about you Mecca, I know I will see you for a long time somewhere else in this business. You know how some people have it and some people don’t, well miss lady you definitely have it, and I can definitely see you prospering from everything you do. You’re soo humble, and you don’t take anything for granted, you have this thing about you Mecca, I can’t quite put my finger on it, but you are something special Mecca, and I’m glad to have made your aquaintance, and I can definitely see you going far in whatever else you do, because you’re not afraid of regular good old hard work at the end of the day. And you’re not afraid to try new things, and you remain humble and not egotistical
MECCA GLOBAL: Mic check, one two..is this thing on? Are we talking about the same ME? Oh you must have not met my Egotistical side (Mecca laughs) Ha-Ha just kidding, nah seriously I have many layers of me I have my serious side, my work side, my silly side my sarcastic side, and my bitch side, when I need to spazz on a few people for taking my kindness for weakness. That’s when I need to show my ass……When the BITCH-ASS-NESS comes out in OTHER people! I need to lift a few skirts/Pull a few people’s cards.. Men too! (Thanks for that word DIDDY! BITCH- ASS-NESS, really does EXIST!) I’m GIVING THOSE SHIRTS OUT THIS X-MAS “STOP THE BITCH-ASS-NESS/MAN UP!) ~Moving right along~ On another note, I think it’s important to laugh a lot and not take yourself so serious. I mean by all means take what you do in life serious but don’t be so serious to the point where you become robotic uptight, and numb, which I was headed that way, when I worked for a certain company, being around a lot of stuffed shirts it’s easy to become cold, and emotionless, borderline robotic, almost as if noting ever bothers me. Which is a huge misconception a lot of people think everything is all peaches and cream. Because I don’t wear my emotions on my sleeve I am NOT an open book like most people are .. I’m very private, I’m very shy underneath it all at the end of the day , my feelings hurt just like any other human beings I know how to separate business from personal, a lot of people don’t. I get bored easily. My A-D-D (Kicking in What was the question again?
DAVID: (David Laughs) Ha-Ha well damn Mecca you wasn’t lying when you said you have A-D-D Attention Deficit Disorder I think that’s what its called ? ADD (David laughs) Ha-Ha We were talking about something else, and something else just came out in that answer.. You funny, but strangely, I followed right along with you. I understood everything you said! How important do you think it is for these teenagers nowadays to have role models and mentors in their life, the reason I am asking you this is, I have a good grasp, and understanding just from knowing you in this short period of time behind the scenes, and I hear the way you talk about more mentoring programs, a lot of things a lot of people don’t get to see that side of you, how important is it to have a role model in your life, and also what part did role models or mentors play a part in your life if any?
MECCA GLOBAL: It’s very important to have someone to look up to, I think we all need to do a better job at mentoring the ones coming up under us. Somebody was there to show me the ropes, and guide me along the way, I think it’s only right that I extend my hand specifically for the youths coming up when I cross their paths. Hopefully I leave them with something they can take from a simple conversation to them.
DAVID What advice do you have for up and coming writers or up and coming talent around the world? What would you say to them?
MECCA GLOBAL: Just stay focused on what YOU are doing. Pay attention to YOUR progress. Track how far you’ve come from last year to right now where you are today. ALWAYS set small attainable goals, some kind of GOALS within your reach which will lead you to your long term goals track your progress. Seperate your needs from your wants. What I mean by that is this, for example if you need to get a tooth pulled and hypothetically it cost 400 dollars for a tooth pulled and you need to have that tooth pulled NEXT month 1 month away everyday THIS month you need to be saving your money save 20 dollars instead of spending $20 a day on junk something stupid you really don’t need, or whatever unnecessary things you really don’t need, sacrifice small things you can go without, now you saved 20 dollars a day this week you have 1 hundred dollars saved towards your 400 dollar tooth bill! Then Next week you do the same thing, you have 200 dollars the 3rd week you have 3oo dollars and so on, by the end of your short term goal which was saving the money every day for 4 weeks you now reached your short term goal of 400 dollars which will help you execute your long term goal which was to get that tooth pulled for your 400Dollar tooth bill.
same theory goes across the board, bottom line if you work at Mc’Donalds and you really don’t want to be there,, and you’re a rapper or singer and you feel more alive in the booth, and you know you are the next STAR use the money you make from Mc’Donalds to pay for your studio time to get you in the booth to pay your little 20,30, 50 dollars an hour to record your song in an hour however long it takes just do something little by little towards your Dreams & Goals.
DAVID: What’s your thoughts on having OBAMA in office, how does that make you feel as an African American woman? Not that race has anything to do with it, but, how does that make you feel?
MECCA GLOBAL: It makes me feel proud that our black is finally celebrated on a national scale. I mean we as African American women always, already put our men on a platform and we were always raised to be the strong black women supporting and holding your man down standing beside our men. I’m from a certain class of women that was raised a certain way. In spite of any misconceptions that all African American women don’t support our men, that’s a lie. Theres Millions across the Globe that I represent, speaking for Official women from everywhere still encouraging our men, right beside them. REGARDLESS of the false misconceptions out there about BLACK WOMEN. It’s a wonderful feeling to see MR PRESIDENT in such a powerful position. It’s equally inspiring to see Mrs Michelle Obama as the first lady standing right alongside her man, her Husband, our President. A wonderful delight for young girls to have someone else the same color as they are, to look up too. Michelle is one more positive African American woman, in addition to looking up to somebody like an OPRAH another powerful African American sister. It’s really exciting to me, since I have a son, as long as I can remember when my son was growing up, and anybody that really knows me outside of this Mecca Global Persona (SHARONDA BAKER) who knows me personally, and knows how I raise my son Shaquan Baker, they can honestly say I have always raised my son to always believe you can do ANYTHING be ANYTHING regardless of STUPID stereotypes they put out there about African American men, and its ok to be different, funny, silly, serious. I’m the type of person Almost, always challenge any stereotype. For example, look at my name Sharonda, and coming from the hood names like mine, or a name like Shaquan, we were always led to believe we would never get far with certain names, and coming from different backgrounds so I always was up to the challenge to prove everybody wrong, it makes me feel very proud to have an African American man MR BARACK OBAMA in office as my PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES! It makes me look at my African American men a lot different, I hold them to a much more higher standard, and respect than I have in the past honestly….
DAVID Mecca, Miss Sharonda you don’t know what a yes or a no answer under 60 seconds look like? (David laughs) Ha-Ha That’s why I love you, because you never just give me the book answer yes, or no, you always get your point across painting a picture to make people understand what you mean, drawing people into you even more.
DAVID: I was watching the video clip on your myspace page of Benny Negro interviewing you, you mentioned you used to work at Morgan Stanley the Brokerage Firm, How was it working a regular 9-5 everyday knowing you wanted to be somewhere else, doing something different? Also, what other jobs did you work in the past before becoming an Author? What would you be doing if you were not Writing?
MECCA GLOBAL: Shout ot Benny Negro for interviewing me on that clip. Check back for me interviewing him, i will place it on my web blog SBAKERMEDIAGROUP.COM Renny Rugah recorded me interviewing Benny Negro. It came out mad dark! Check back on my blog coming soon. But anyway, before I became an Author, or Writer for the magazine, I have always worked a regular 9-5 job. I worked for JC PENNY CATALOG Outlet in Georgia. I worked for Merck Medco in Parsippany New Jersey. I worked for Mellon, in Bridgewater, i was actually working for NVA in Clifton, but I always wrote on my breaks, every free minute I got.
So I think I’m good if this don’t ever work out (Mecca Laughs) Ha-Ha because I have Corporate Fortune 500 skills 9 to 5 skills in me. I’m not afraid to work to provide for my family.

(((((((((((( MECCA’S BIO ))))))
SHARONDA “MECCA” BAKER WAS BORN IN
NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THE YOUNGEST OF
10: 5 GIRLS AND 1 BROTHER FROM HER PARENTS, IN ADDITION TO 3 BROTHERS,
AND 1 SISTER FROM HER DAD AND HIS FIRST WIFE. SHE STAYED UNDER HER
SISTERS EARLY ON DURING HER TEENAGE YEARS UNTIL SHE DECIDED SHE WANTED TO
CARVE HER OWN NICHE IN THIS WORLD, AND MOVE FROM BEHIND THEIR SHADOWS.
TIRED OF THE SAME REGULAR ROUTINE DAY IN, DAY OUT PLAYING THE GOOD GIRL
ROLE AT HOME ON ONE HAND, AND ON THE OTHER HAND, LIVING ONLY 15
MINUTES AWAY FROM NYC’S THRIVING, PULSATING, FAST-PACED ELEMENTS MECCA WAS
LOOKING FOR; SHE DECIDED TO SEE WHAT WAS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WATER.
SO OF COURSE, HOPPING THE NEW JERSEY PATH TRAIN TO SEE WHAT WAS ON THE
OTHER SIDE WAS INEVITABLE, ENTICING, AND INVITING. FOLLOWING IN HER
BROTHER’S FOOTSTEPS, WHO AT THE TIME WAS STOMPING THROUGH NEW YORK CITY
THROUGH THE 80S, RUBBED OFF ON HER. SHE WAS INFLUENCED BY EVERYTHING
ABOUT THE CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS. HANDS DOWN SHE MADE NEW YORK HER
SECOND HOME OUTSIDE OF HER MOTHERS HOME… SHE BEGAN SNEAKING OUT THE
HOUSE TO GO THERE EVERYDAY THAT WAS THE SPARK THAT LIT THE FLAME, SPECIFICALLY DURING THE QUEEN
LATIFAH AND SALT AND PEPA ERA. THAT WHOLE MOVEMENT LURED HER OUT OF THE
HOUSE, RIGHT INTO THE STREETS OF NEW YORK. SNEAKING OVER THE WATER
EVERYDAY BECAME HER RITUAL. SLIDING RIGHT INTO THE HOTTEST CLUBS AT A
YOUNG AGE, GIVING HER A TASTE LIVING FIRSTHAND AT THE
THINGS YOU SEE IN
THESE VIDEOS TODAY. GROWING UP FAST EXPOSED THIS YOUNG LADY TO A LOT OF
THINGS HER PEERS ONLY HEARD ABOUT. SHE CREDITS THE LOVE AND SUPPORT OF
HER FAMILY FOR KEEPING HER FOCUSED, BALANCED, AND GROUNDED WHILE GROWING
UP. SHE ALSO CREDITS THE STREETS A LOT FOR KEEPING HER HEAD ON STRAIGHT
TOO! DETERMINED TO MAKE SOMETHING OF HERSELF, IN ADDITION TO HER FAITH
IN GOD, IS THE REASON SHE IS STILL HERE TO TALK ABOUT SOME OF THE
STORIES SHE WRITES ABOUT. CREATING CHARACTERS INSPIRED BY EVERYDAY REAL
LIFE EVENTS IN THIS WORLD WAS A NO-BRAINER. IT WASN’T UNTIL SHE MOVED FROM
NEW JERSEY TO ATLANTA WHEN SHE BEGAN TAKING HER WRITING
SERIOUSLY. NEVER MIND THE FACT SHE WAS AWARDED YEAR
BOOK EDITOR, PROM
QUEEN, MOST POPULAR RECEIVING NUMEROUS HONORS, AND AWARDS, THE
ACCOLADES CONTINUED TO COME DURING HER SENIOR YEAR IN HIGH SCHOOL…..
SHE HAD NO CLUE WHAT SHE WANTED TO DO WITH HER LIFE AFTER GRADUATION.
IT NEVER SUNK IN THAT SHE WAS BLESSED WITH THE GIFT OF WRITING SHE
NEVER REALIZED HER TALENTS. LIKE ALL TEENAGERS JUST READY TO GET OUT OF
SCHOOL, SHE WASN’T AWARE OF WHAT FIELD SHE WANTED TO GET INTO, SHE JUST
WANTED TO GET OUT OF SCHOOL. HER THEORY WAS LIFE IS THE BEST TEACHER.
AFTER GRADUATION SHE DIDN’T TAKE THE TYPICAL APPROACH OF GOING TO COLLEGE
SINCE SHE DIDN’T KNOW WHAT SHE WANTED TO DO WITH HER LIFE; NEVER MIND
THE FACT SHE HAD HER 3-MONTH-OLD SON’S FUTURE TO THINK ABOUT LET ALONE
HERS. SHE LANDED HER FIRST JOB AS AN ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT FOR A
MEDICAL
TRANSPORTATION COMPANY HANDLING THE FINANCIAL AFFAIRS & RECORD
KEEPING FOR THE COMPANY. SHE KNEW SHE WANTED TO DO SOMETHING MORE WITH HER
LIFE. LOOKING TOWARDS THE FUTURE SHE KNEW SHE COULDN’T BECOME
SUCCESSFUL WITHOUT ANY FORMAL TRAINING IN OTHER AREAS…..
IN BETWEEN RUNNING THE STREETS, AND WORKING AFTER GRADUATION, SHE
ENROLLED HERSELF IN A FEW COLLEGE COURSES AT VARIOUS SCHOOLS EARNING A TON
OF CERTIFICATES IN GENERAL BUSINESS COURSES, BROKERAGE INDUSTRY
FUNDAMENTALS, MEDICAL BILLING, TAKING ADVANTAGE OF COMPUTER SOFTWARE
APPLICATION CLASSES OFFERED EVERYWHERE TO FAMILIARIZE HERSELF WITH THE LATEST PROGRAMS, FINANCIAL SERVICE PREPARATION CLASSES, FINANCIAL REPORTS/STATEMENTS, PRINCIPLES OF BANKING CLASSES, QUICK BOOKS,CUSTOMER SERVICE COURSES, DESKTOP
PUBLISHING COURSES YOU NAME IT. BROADENING HER HORIZONS,
STRENGTHENING
AND EXPANDING HER KNOWLEDGE ON ANY, AND EVERYTHING AROUND HER TO ENSURE
SHE WAS EQUIPPED WITH WHATEVER SHE WANTED TO DO LATER ON DOWN THE
ROAD…..
SHORTLY AFTER SETTLING IN HER HOME IN ATLANTA, SHE BEGAN WRITING
VERSES AND HOOKS {CHORUSES} FOR LOCAL UNSIGNED ARTIST FOR FREE NOT THINKING
MUCH OF IT. POSITIVE FEEDBACK FROM FAMILY, AND FRIENDS MOTIVATED AND
ENCOURAGED HER TO SHOW OFF HER MIC SKILLS. SHE BEGAN WRITING MUSIC FOR
HERSELF SPITTIN’ BARS BACK AND FORTH WITH LOCAL DUDES IN CYPHERS,WHICH EVENTUALLY
LED HER INTO THE STUDIO TO WORK ON HER OWN MUSIC TAKING HER WRITING TO
THE NEXT LEVEL. HER DELIVERY, AND UNIQUE FLOW CAUGHT THE
ATTENTION OF A LOCAL PROMOTER/MANAGER FROM ATLANTA WHO WAS IN THE STUDIO ALREADY
WORKING WITH A SOLO RECORDING FEMALE ARTIST. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THESE 2
SOLO ARTISTS HE WAS WORKING WITH INDIVIDUALLY WOULD FORM A GROUP?….
THE 2 GIRLS NAMED THE GROUP CHASE. THE GROUP RECORDED A FEW SONGS;
CREATED AN UNDERGROUND BUZZ WITHOUT RIDING THE COAT TAILS OF ANYONE
FAMOUS, HOWEVER, WITHOUT ANY CHEMISTRY, OR HISTORY TOGETHER, THE GROUP CHASE
DISBANDED BEFORE THE GROUP EVEN BLEW UP.
MECCA CONTINUED TO EXPLORE HER TALENT FURTHER, SHE RECORDED A SONG WITH HER FRIEND DOC
FROM THE RAP GROUP DARCSYDE, WHO WAS SIGNED TO BLACK HAND ENTERTAINMENT
AT THE TIME…..
DOC PLAYED THE SONG IN THE STUDIO IN QUEENS, ATTRACTING THE ATTENTION
OF BLACK HAND ENTERTAINMENTS C.E.O CHAZ, WHO IMMEDIATELY FLEW HER BACK
TO NEW YORK CITY FROM ATLANTA. SHE WAS DRIVEN STRAIGHT TO THE STUDIO,
RIGHT FROM THE AIRPORT WHERE SHE RECORDED HER MEMORABLE VERSE ON THE
COMPILATION CD RELEASED WORLDWIDE BY TVT RECORDS TITLED NEXT UP: RAPS NEW
GENERATION GUEST APPEARING ON TRACK 9 TITLED BLACK HAND ALL-STARS FEAT
MECCA, SPITTIN’ ALONGSIDE DOC, SIN, MEL, SUAVE, DIRT, JFK, AND, ALI
VEGAS (WHO WAS KNOWN AS VIETNAM AT THAT TIME) THE ONLY GIRL ON THE ENTIRE
COMPILATION FITTIN’ RIGHT IN WITH SOME HEAVYWEIGHTS IN THE GAME THEN
AND NOW. ALSO RECORDING A SONG WITH MIC GERONIMO. IN ADDITION TO
CO-WRITING A SONG FOR ANOTHER FEMALE ARTIST WHO WAS ON THE LABEL AT THE TIME…..
LATER TO SIGN A SOLO RECORDING CONTRACT FOR AN UNDISCLOSED AMOUNT.
WHICH FELL THROUGH AS A TAX WRITE OFF TO MOST PEOPLE. SHE OPENLY ADMITS
NOT BEING FOCUSED DURING THAT TIME TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE OPPORTUNITY
PRESENTED IN FRONT OF HER THEN. SHE LAUGHS AS SHE QUOTES ONE OF JAY Z’S
LINES “I’M NOT A RAPPER, I’M A HUSTLER. JUST SO HAPPENS I KNOW HOW TO
RAP!” IN SPITE OF THE SETBACKS DEALING WITH THE POLITICS IN THE
BUSINESS, MORE OF “WHO YOU KNOW THAN WHAT YOU KNOW” LEFT A BAD TASTE IN HER
MOUTH TO SPIT. NOT FULLY UNDERSTANDING THEN HOW IT WORKED TURNED HER OFF
FOR A MOMENT. HOWEVER, SHE NEVER GAVE UP ON
HER WRITING ABILITIES. IN THE MIDST OF WAITING ON A DISTRIBUTION DEAL WHILE SITTING ON BLACK
HAND, SHE EDUCATED HERSELF ON CERTAIN THINGS…..
INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING AND MOANING ABOUT HER SITUATION, MECCA STRAYED
AWAY FROM THE STUDIO, STILL REACHING OUT TO CHAZ FROM TIME TO TIME FOR
CERTAIN ADVICE. MECCA CONTINUED TO WRITE SONGS IN HER NOTEBOOK, ZEROING IN ON
HER WRITING; WHICH ALLOWED HER TO COMPLETE HER FIRST NOVEL IN 2 MONTHS
TITLED HEAT: CODE OF THE STREETS PART 1 IN 2004.
HEAT: MECCA SENT HEAT TO SEVERAL MAJOR PUBLISHING COMPANIES, ALMOST
ALL OF WHICH REJECTED HEAT, OR WANTED TO PUT HEAT OUT YEARS LATER
EXCLUDING 9 OUT OF THE MANY. FRUSTRATED, AND READY TO GIVE UP, SHE BEGAN
WRITING THANK YOU LETTERS BACK TO ALL 9 OF THE COMPANIES WHO SHOWED AND
INTEREST IN HER PROJECT EXPLAINING TO THEM SHE WILL BE MOVING FORWARD
WITH HER OWN PROJECT, THANKING THEM FOR THEIR TIME. THE THANK-YOU LETTERS
SHE WROTE
BACK IN ITSELF MOTIVATED, AND FUELED HER PASSION MAKING HER
EVEN MORE DRIVEN…..
SHE SINGLE-HANDEDLY FOUNDED HER OWN PUBLISHING COMPANY WITH HER OWN
MONEY, AND IS ACTIVELY THE FOUNDER AND CEO OF S. BAKER PUBLISHING SELLING
HER BOOKS INDEPENDENTLY. EXPLODING IN THE LITERARY WORLD KICKING DOORS
IN USING GRASSROOTS TACTICS, WITH NO MAJOR DISTRIBUTION BEHIND HER,
SELLING HER BOOKS WORD OF MOUTH, HAND TO HAND IN THE STREETS OUT THE
TRUNK STATE TO STATE MAILING/SHIPPING HER BOOKS PERSONALLY WORLDWIDE USING
HER CONNECTIONS, AND SMALL TEAM SHE ASSEMBLED HERSELF UTILIZING HER
EVERY RESOURCE REACHING OUT TO PEOPLE IN HER CORNER. SELLING, EXPANDING,
AND GROWING LIKE CANCER ACROSS THE GLOBE WORLDWIDE EXCEEDING HER OWN EXPECTATIONS…..
WHEN ASKED WHAT ADVICE WOULD SHE GIVE TO ANYONE WHATEVER IT IS YOU’RE
TRYING TO DO, WHETHER YOU ARE TRYING TO BE AN ACTOR, SINGER, RAPPER,
AUTHOR, EXECUTIVE, OPEN A BUSINESS WHATEVER ACROSS THE BOARD, SHE
PROUDLY STATES, “WHATEVER FIELD YOU’RE TRYING TO GET INTO, MAKE SURE YOU
ALWAYS HAVE SOMETHING TO BRING TO THE TABLE. REJECTION HAPPENS TO EVERYONE.
DON’T EVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS IN-SPITE OF HOW THE SITUATION LOOKS.
ALWAYS HAVE A BACK-UP PLAN. KNOW YOUR CRAFT, AND THE BUSINESS YOU’RE
TRYING TO GET INTO. FINANCE AND SUPPORT YOUR OWN PROJECT WITH YOUR OWN
MONEY. EDUCATE YOURSELF ON THAT SPECIFIC FIELD. SET SMALL ATTAINANABLE
GOALS AND TRACK YOUR PROGRESS. YOU SHOULD NOT BE IN THE SAME SPOT NEXT
YEAR IF YOU DO SOMETHING ABOUT CHANGING YOUR SITUATION RIGHT NOW LITTLE
BY LITTLE. ALWAYS REMEMBER THROUGH ALL THE TURMOIL, THROUGH ALL THE
POLITICS, DON’T EVER LET THE SITUATION DISCOURAGE YOU AND BLIND YOUR
VISION OF YOUR TALENT! STAY FOCUSED THROUGH THE UPS, AND DOWNS. WE
ALL KNOW THE SAYING. WHAT DON’T KILL YOU CAN ONLY MAKE YOU STRONGER.
REAL TALK.”….

REALWRITERREADER-David Rabadi
I meet a lot of people in this industry, I make a connection with some, others, I disconnect the phone when they call me. This guy David (AKA ROCKSTAR) the name I gave him, yes I want my credit, Rockstar is soo funny, David Rabadi is a little cocky, Correction, a lot funny, all sexy and seriously misunderstood.
Sit back, enjoy the interview, and let’s see what it’s like in the life of DAVID RABADI (AKA ROCKSTAR)
Mecca Global: How are you Rock Star?
David :I am so vain I probably think this interview is about me…oh wait it is. I am good except for the clouds in my coffee minding the sky’s business… lol Very flattered you blowing wind in my business.
Mecca Global: Yes, it’s only right to get in your business, since you got all in my business when you interviewed me for your Magazine. (Sidebar, where is my interview?) I don’t see it posted on your online magazine yet?) ANYWAY! Congratulations on your new worldwide online magazine <http://www.daveffect.com/> www.daveffect.com.What inspired you to start a magazine?
David: I have a hunger for authenticness, I think I just made up a word. David Laughs (Ha-Ha)Anywrite, authentic encounters are rare I decided I wanted to write mine. There are two types of people in the world…the ones that read and the ones that write. You know this Miss Author. I’m the story teller type of guy who has to be told. And there are two types of readers… ones that understand my vocabulary and the ones that need a D I C shnary cause my fuse got them confused : )
Mecca Global : You a mess, already! Mecca laughs (Ha-Ha) You have a clothing line HOUSE of DCD, write poems, screenplays, act, and direct your own magazine, how do you find the time to decade to all that?
David: I am a mess clean me up, Time is not found its present. I utilize it with my business partner, Carlene Junjulas who I adore, for example with my clothing line I could send Carlene a simple text and her hands instantly create my vision. I can be in a club, train or just walking the streets and the second I am inspired to write a poem the black berry comes out. In regard to acting and directing I wrote myself out of the scene to allow myself to grow and now re-writing my scene to directly act it all out.
Mecca Global : I noticed you use lyrics to songs in some of your interviews even in your answers to my questions. Sounds like music is a part of you. Why don’t you involve yourself creatively with music?
David : Oh this question gives me something to sing about la la la.
Music is a big part of my life. As a child I grew up with four siblings and a bunch of cousins and everyday was a party. As I grow older, I found music to be my escape that lead me into a fantasy world that one day I knew I would create a reality; although according to Simon Cowell I am not a great singer but neither are half the people with record deals… “HI PAULA”. Recently I have been approached by music producers to revise my poems into lyrics for songs.. I’m still singing the idea!
Mecca Global: You crazy! (Mecca laughs) Ha-ha. We need to write music together. You are fearless how did you become so?
David: My family, but mostly my mom & sister have instilled in me at a very young age to always be kind and never let anyone alter my being. The second I hold back means I’m feeling fear and my sister always says “less of you brings fear, but all of you makes you fearless”… When she speaks I drop the f and become all ear.
Mecca Global :True. Speaking of family do you ever plan to marry? Are you involved with anyone special?
David: I have no plans to stand by the alter, but if I do meet the right person I am all groom for it!
I have a very special person in my life, her name is Linda. We both refer to each other as soul mates. It seems odd to people to know we are cousins, but the bond we share is beyond any number they can count too and numbers are like age up never down, when one is down the other picks up! Making us even.
Mecca Global: Don’t you want to be in a relationship?
David : um.. When you look my way I’m a flirt, when you turn face I’m a flirt shorties end up buzzing all in my face time for me to migrate, because my jeans show my poker face and my next relation drops the ship to benefit going home back to my place. Just being funny! As there is truth to all jokes…(David Laughs) Ha-Ha.. I do want to be in a relationship… but no one seems to know how to sink my ship… they drown from the motion that is in my ocean… : )
Mecca Global : LMAO!!! Moving right along ,You’re in great shape what foods do you deprive yourself from?
David: ME, deprive myself from food?!..(David Laughs) Ha-Ha. That is the funniest question only if my family was here… I eat everything from cold pizza to two day left overs, just this passed Sunday I celebrated the Orthodox Easter, and I was in chocolate bunny haven indulging in my 8 nices and nephews easter basket.. As they rated me out to my siblings love those little rascals “Mom I blame you for my junk food fetish me and my siblings were the only kids in catholic school without a lunch box. We all carried brown paper bags with freaking hummus on pita. I use to beg my mom for a damn buttered roll and bravo chips. But “I love ya mom”..only healthy food for her offspring. I admit I should enter a junk food rehab (too much cheese makes you doodel) love my cruch.
Mecca Global: I’m showing her this interview (Mecca Laughs) Ha-Ha I love you’re your energy David, seriously, even at work passing in the hallways, every time we see eachother, we always cracking up! I love positive energy from people, bubbly, How do you deal with people that are negative towards you?
David : A lot of how I live my life comes from my middle eastern culture… Always respect yourself and others even when they have cross the line.. there is no reason to line up with them. I don’t deal with negative I react to it then seal it!
Mecca Global: What makes you uncomfortable?
David : I am comfortable with myself and the reality of my life. I have surpassed anyone or thing that can make me uncomfortable. I do however become curious at times when people have the need to F with me. Now that is not them projecting negativity but their own insecurities. Insecurity has the word security and we all know security comes with a concealed weapon. Where I come from if a mofo F’s with you? Say hello to my little friend ( fist in your face ) At least that’s what my brothers do. I on the other hand resort to their portrait. If they don’t get the picture! My picture is in their membrane… I kick them all to the curb like Beckham
Mecca Global: (Mecca Laughs) Ha-Ha I have never laughed so much in an interview. Off the record, and on the record when the tape recorder running! As you know, I laugh a lot! I got my silly side. But when I’m interviewing, I try to keep it to a minimum. You need to do standup comedy. Because I’m thinking about something else you said before just popped in my mind! Have you ever thought about that, doing stand up?
David: I hear that everyday… live from MSG David Rabadi Raw and Kathy Griffin has to be my opening act!…Love that bitch.
Mecca: You are unique and obvious to me very people friendly. You must have a lot of close friends?
David: My personality is unique if I dare to say due to the fact my name is, my name is David Rabadi (macho KING bitch) excepting of everyone. I never judge people anyone that has encountered me can pull out the blue print and drawing to reveal that I have always celebrated them. In the mist of me tolerating their egos. I tripple jump blessed to have a great family and a dozen of close friends in which stand by me, when the night falls, they are the moon light I need.
Mecca: HOUSE of DCD…Where do you get your inspiration from and what are the pros and cons of having a business partner?
David: My inspiration comes from the silent expression men desire to release. I have three macho brothers and a hero dad that protest my flamboyant fashion style, but when those 4 men need tips the text reads on my private cell# “911″. Its mostly pro with Carlene Junjulas as my partner, I am daring and she is careful. She pays attention in meetings, I don’t. I never take NO for an answer! It’s almost like being a parent to each other, what one lacks the other holds. The only con is she’s always late, but she is a woman worth waiting for. Time after time I wait and find her.
Mecca Global: This has been a lot of fun. My cheeks hurt from all the laughing. Anything you want to say to the readers before you go?
David: Be YOU!!! When the world gets in your face, say have a nice day… And my hummus brings all the people to the web and their like its better then yours, I can write you just log onto: <http://www.daveffect.com/> www.daveffect.com. And Mecca I would love a Q&A with you for my magazine! Oh wait. I am confused. I will post it.
Mecca Global: You got it already! I was about to say (Mecca put’s her fist to David’s face) (David laughs & Put’s his fist back to Mecca’s Face) Ha-Ha. Thanks for taking time out of your busy Schedule to sit down and chit chat with me Rockstar. Did you see the picture we took in the elevator, the day I was going to Benny Negro’s show to do the interview, when you were supposed to come with me!! Uh-Hmmmm (Mecca Clears her throat)
David You left me! That guy came in the BMW, to pick you up, you just forgot about me (David Laughs) Ha-ha… Oh Sheila let me love you down, remember that song one of my passengers dedicated to you, but really for me.
Mecca Global : Blew my spot up! Now how you know I wanted everybody- Nothing never mind (Mecca Laughs) Ha-Ha. This concludes our interview. By Babes!
David: Later Mecca
David Rabadi is in the process of making a big change all around the world. Keep sailing Captain in fashion, writing, and directing all you’re acting. Thank you for your effect….. I am still smiling!!!! Sinking into your ship! : )
